TE’s Pick Your Pairings

Morning! I hope your week is off to a good start. Today is Pick Your Pairings day at Taylored Expressions. This means that YOU get to pick what is released this week by making suggestions of products to pair with items currently in the product line.

My first card features a coloring stencil to go with Just Because Blooms. The stencil has coloring layers from both blooms and the leaves. I used different purples with some deep greens to color my blooms. I stamped and stenciled two of the lilac blooms and layered them with the leaves between. The rest of the card is super simples with a Plum Tart base and Sugar Cube layer embossed with Swiss Dots and a little extra detail of some stamped stitching at the top and bottom of the Honeydew Melon layer. This layer was super simple to create in my MISTI and I’m sure you’ll see this again from me, lol. I lined the stamp up against the bottom edge of my MISTI so it was straight then stamped and A2 piece of Honeydew Melon with the same color ink by stamping one side then rotating and stamping the other. Super simple and everything lined up perfectly.

To finish up I foiled a piece of Poly Glaze with Champagne Fun Foil and die cut Little Bits Butterfly Kisses (also new today) from the foiled cardstock. I LOVE the Poly Glaze sheets – now I can foil any die cuts with any TE Fun Foil.

My second card features addition to the C’Mon large word die line – C’Mon It’s Your Birthday! I paired this up with the Postmarked Birthday Foil It and Stencil in the background and a few little birthday icons from Birthday Bash Stamp Set and the coordinating dies. I wanted to keep this gender/age neutral so I went with bold primary colors. I used Cherry Pop, Peapod, Dijon and Blueberry. This color combo is a go to for me when I need to add to my birthday card stash but want it to be usable for anyone.

And last but not least this card features some new additions to our A7 line of products. A7 cards are 5×7 and TE has been expanding their line of products designed for this size card. For this card I used the new A7 Postage Stamp Stacklets with the Baroque Bouquet Stamp and Coloring Stencil.

To start this card I stamped the Baroque Boquet stamp on Sugar Cube and colored with the coordinating coloring stencil. I used Cake Pop, Popsicle, Pineapple, and Papaya ink for the flowers and Lime Zest and Peapod for the greenery. After die cutting I used an OLO marker to color the white edge to match Royal Icing cardstock. Next I stenciled the Take Two – Beads & Blooms stencil tone on tone on Royal Icing cardstock. I die cut this with the A7 Layer stacklets and assembled everything. I had some butterflies left from my previous card so I added those and a foiled sentiment from Simply Stated Foil Its die cut with the coordinating die.
