In addition, the pride and joy of the new BLUSH SOCIETY? We bring you Blush Bonnie and Blush Babbette…two new “blushing beauties” that will be fantastic for cards, art journaling, and MORE! Here is my project:

Blush Jen 2

My project started with inspiration from this week’s Mystery Monday card from the Farm Fresh Challenge blog turned on it’s side. πŸ™‚

I stamped BLUSH BONNIE on white Recollections cardstock. So I have to confess… this is my favorite cs to use these days. I have forever been a PTI girl but I ran out and needed some white cs NOW and ran to Michael’s and grabbed some and surprisingly I really like it. It bleeds a bit more than the PTI but I’ve adjusted to it and I really like how the colors blend and it lets me be a bit quicker and more painterly with my marker strokes and I really like that. Not to mention it’s $3.50 a package… definitely don’t feel bad if I mess up at that price. πŸ™‚ Back on track… after stamping and coloring Bonnie I masked her off by stamping her onto a legal pad and cutting her out. I adhered the mask back to the colored image with a small roll of Washi Tape and then stamped BLUSH HELLO over the top of the mask in Pumice Stone Distress Ink. I cut the image out using a rectangle Nestabilitie Die and then sponged inside the die with more Pumice Stone ink (LOVE that stuff). I paper pieced Bonnie’s dress with Echo Park For the Record paper that matches the background. I used a bit of crimped kraft stock behind the main image panel and added clusters of Prima flowers at the corners of the image.

Here’s a closer look at this gorgeous new stamp:

Isn’t she gorgeous? I LOVE these new Blush Society girls… they are just STUNNING!
