The Deconstructed Sketch No. 44

Wow. This week is flying. Seriously where did it go? Oh wait! I know where it went… Draw Something STOLE it!! So who else out there is addicted? I totally am!! I have 5 or 6 games waiting on me right now so I’m going to make this speedy quick, to quote my son.

First, though, I would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has participated in Sketch 43 so far. Your creations ROCK and I am so so impressed with the creativity each week. FABULOUS, gorgeous work… I’m seriously inspired! Keep it up!

Let’s see what you do with 44…

Here’s what I did with it:

I started out with MME’s On The Bright Side – One 6×6 paper and Taylored Expressions Rosy Posey stamp set. I stamped the sentiment and rose on white paper and colored the rose with Copics. The background was really quick and easy to build up and I used Martha Stewart’s Daisy Dot border punch for the edging. I sponged the heck out of everything with Vintage Photo ink. I drew a little border around the sentiment with a med. point Sharpie Pen in black. To finish it all off I die cut some leaves using Taylor’s Leafy Branch Die that I snipped apart and sponge with Vintage Photo. I layered the leaves, a bit of twine thread and the rose off to the corner of the sentiment and decided to leave off the dots at the bottom, cause you know… it’s cool to alter sketches. 😉

And there you have it!

Here’s what our super duper fabulous guest, Amy Sheffer had to say about the sketch:
