The Deconstructed Sketch No. 50

Who is ready for a new sketch? Me!!!

This week we have a FABULOUS sponsor to share with you as well. Ribbon Carousel is very generously offering one very lucky participant a full year subscription to the Ribbon Club Kit! How awesome is that??!!??

So here’s your sketch:

Deconstructed Sketch 50

And here’s my take on the sketch:

Peace in the Days Ahead by Jen Shults

For this card I started with a A2 Kraft cardbase layered with a slightly smaller piece of kraft cardstock sponged with Vintage Photo ink and with this month’s Ribbon Club Kit from Ribbon Carousel and cut the dark blue ribbon from the kit into strips. I cut the ends of the strips on the diagonal and glued the ribbon down also on the diagonal. I used Aleene’s No Sew glue to glue the ribbon to the card. Over that I layered a piece of kraft colored ribbon from the kit along with the sentiment from Verve’s Forever In Our Hearts stamp set and die cut it with the Tagged Rectangle Die. I distressed all the cardstock with a Tonic Distress Tool and then added a few Prima Flowers and MS Rose Leaves. The final touch were a few pearls in the corner colored with a Copic marker.

Want your sketches a little early? Follow the Deconstructed Sketch on Facebook!! And if you are looking for some older sketches to dig through you can find them in the Deconstructed Sketchbook. Now it’s time to hop around and see what everyone else on the DT has been up to and leave them a little love.

I also have a Design Team update! I am so so so happy to announce that Amy Sheffer is going to be staying on with us as a full time designer. I am SO pumped to have her with us!!
