‘Tis the Season
Taylored Expressions Holiday release is HERE!! And oh my do I have a LOT to share with you today.
My first card is a fun little card using the new Max and Millie set, Merrie Millie. This set is so cute and SO versatile. I created a simple scene by using a circle masking stencil with Cookie Monster ink and layering the stamped and colored images on top.
My next card is one that I plan to mass produce for a good chunk of our Christmas cards this year using the new The Light Shines stamp set,
I kept this card one layer (almost) and very easily reproducible by using a rectangle masking stencil to create the Cookie Monster background. I stamped the tree using Cilantro, Watermelon, Lemon Meringue and Chocolate Truffle. The sentiment is from Pennant Parade Christmas. The whole thing was die cut using Stitched Rectangle Stacklets and popped up on foam tape.
This next card is a favorite! Big Grumpy – Christmas! I love these Big Grumpy stamps. They are so fun and so sassy. I seem to have been in a masking stencil roll this month and continued that theme by creating a blended green rectangle using Sweet Basil, Peapod and Limezest ink. Big Grumpy and his accessories are stamped on Sugar Cube with Oreo ink and colored with Copics.
There is a new set of coordinating stamps to go with the Pretty Package dies to get you ready for the holidays. I paired up Pretty Package with the new Candy Cane Stripe Mini Slim Stencil and Pretty Package – Holiday Tags. This little gift card holder would be VERY easy to mass produce for teacher Christmas gifts, colleague gifts and of course, Secret Santa gifts!
My last project is one that I dearly love and may have spent a ridiculous amount of time coloring – but that’s okay.
The new Seasonal Sprig stamp is GORGEOUS and so so versatile. I stamped the sprig on a piece of A2 Sugar Cube cardstock 3-4 times with Oreo ink and colored it with Copic markers. I trimmed 1/4″ off one side and layered a strip of gold glitter cardstock with a Cookie Monster cardbase on the right edge. The Happy Holidays sentiment was stamped on Oreo with Versamark and heat embossed from the Building Blocks – Happy Additions stamp set. I added just a few Gold Drip Drops and done!
That is it for me today! Please visit the Taylored Expressions Blog for more amazing project examples and a link to all of the designers sharing samples!
