It’s Twilight Tuesday again and as usual I’m running behind. Imagine. 😉
As usual we have a crafter’s portion and a comment portion. I’m going to knock the comment portion out first because I really loved this week’s question: “What’s your favorite holiday tradition?”
My Favorite Christmas Tradition
I have quite a few but I think my favorite Christmas tradition so far is spending Christmas Eve with my husband’s family. Each year we all bring soup and hang out at Chris’s uncle’s house. I bring baked potato soup every year. We have some sort of family entertainment that has ranged from toilet paper Santa’s to Christmas Jeopardy to the Match Game. It’s a great time and we all get to spend Christmas with Grandma before heading home to either wait for Santa’s arrival or play a little Santa of our own.
A Very Cullen Christmas – Jewelry Style
Now on to the craft. I was a little perplexed at first for what to make. I’m not a stamper so a card was out (for the most part). And I wasn’t really inspired to draw anything so jewelry it was. But what to make was the question. Then it hit me, how about a little jewelry that would make a great gift for any girl that’s a fan of Twilight. I wanted to design something that would show off the spirit of Twilight and still be classy enough to really be a nice gift. The owner would know what it meant but I didn’t want to design anything campy so I put on my Alice thinking cap and came up with this:
This fringe bracelet was designed using the rich deep red and black color palette of Twilight. With a double link curb chain as a base I added loads of decadent Bali silver, handmade lamp work beads, Swarovski crystal, Czech glass, and sterling silver round beads. The bracelet is finished off with a Bali silver toggle clasp. The bracelet measures 7.5″. All metal components are sterling silver.
