Valentine’s for Anya

Hey all! It’s Saturday Sketch time over at Club Anya and Friends and this week we have a sketch that’s a bit different for me… a round sketch. Those always look so cool but tend to throw me for a loop but I really like how this one came out. 😀 I hope you guys like it too.

And here is my take on it using the brand new Fancy Anya from The Greeting Farm:

Fancy Anya Card

To make my card I cut to Nestablilies Scalloped Circles Large dies using the largest die and then scored one of them across the top about 1/2 an inch from the edge and glued it to the other circle to make the card open. I then cut a red Nesties Classic Circle Large using the largest circle. To make the stripe I cut a 2.5 inch kraft stock strip and punched both sides with a Martha Stewart edge punch, flipping the paper over after cutting the first side so the two sides would line up. Then I layered on the red card stock and the designer paper from PTI. I glued the three strips together in the center and then lined it up the layered pieced in the center of the same die I used to cut the red circle and ran it through my Big Shot to cut and emboss it. I added the ribbon from American Crafts and glued it down with Zots glue dots. Next I cut out the Nesties Label 10 on kraft stock and left the paper in the die after embossing it to sponge on a layer of Tim Holtz Distress ink in Worn Lipstick and then Barn Door. I glued down the Label 10 on dimmentionals and cut out Anya and propped her up on dimmensionals also. Next I punched a heart and used a black Sharpie to write the word Love. I added dots of Platinum Liquid Pearls around the heart, on the flair of the Label 10 and around the scallops at the edge of the card. Lastly I added a bit of Diamond Stickles to Anya’s barrettes, sash and shoes.
