Welcome to our May 2014 Spotlight Hops! We’re so excited to share some new Verve with you! The Divas will be spotlighting 3 new sets, 3 Plain Janes and a couple dies each day through Friday, so keep your eyes peeled for some fresh Verve inspiration Everything previewed this week will be available in the Verve online store on Friday, 5/23.
This is a card I made for a close friend at work. Right now we are in the middle of crazy end of the school year madness with a giant end of the school year theatrical production thrown in the mix and I know she could use a little smiley happiness to know she’s appreciated so I made this for her.
To start my card I used a kraft cardbase and last weeks Deconstructed Sketch No. 151. I also use Simple Stories Daily Grind paper. The stamp set I used is called Be Blessed and I absolutely adore this set. It coordinates again with the Petal Points dies and I used the Sprightly Sprigs dies with it. These flowers have a bit of a different look than the ones from Button Best but they both work with the Petal Points dies – I LOVE when that happens! I stamped my flowers to be sunfloweresque and stamped them right onto patterned paper. The rest of the layout came right together with the sketch. 🙂

This is such a fun card. I love how the colors pop with the kraft base and back printed background. You add some polka dot paper and there you have it!
I love the primary colors and how you divided the circle. That’s a good layout tip to remember. Those flowers with that leaf sprig look great together.
Wonderful card, wonderful collection!
