Viva la Verve Week 3 – You Make Me Smile

Hey everyone! I’m popping in today with a quick card I made yesterday on our snow day. AGAIN. It feels like we’ve gotten more snow in the last 14 days than we usually get in an entire year! So yesterday after digging out our driveway and heading over to my mom’s and doing her’s I sat down at my stamp desk and pulled out some new stamps and just started working.

I started with the Viva la Verve January Week 3 sketch and some new Valentine paper I picked up from K&Co. I don’t usually buy that brand but I really liked this stack of paper. I used the new Love Notes stamps from Verve along with their Jotted Heart die. I edged all the paper with Brushed Corduroy ink and added a little sparkle to the inside of the heart. The flowers are from Prima and the leaf punch is the Martha Stewart Frond punch that I punched out of Kraft stock and then inked with Peeled Paint ink. The tilted panel is cut from a Nestabilities Label 8 die and then I traced around the inside of the die onto the designer paper and cut that out by hand. To make the brown layer around the jotted heart I traced the outside of the die onto dark brown and cut it out by hand. I think that’s it!
