WFWC18 – Circles, Stripes and Stitches

It’s time for another Wild Flower Wednesday challenge! I’m running a bit late today. We had an internet issue last night with all the rain and I am just now getting caught up. 🙁

Our challenge this week is Circles, Stripes and Stitches. For my card I used Mercy’s Tuesday Sketch Challenge 77 and Flutterby Wednesday’s open Fairy, Angel or Butterfly challenge #111.

For my card I used Fairy Princess and colored her with Copics. Next I made the purple background paper using Tim Holtz Bitty Grunge cling stamps set (LOVE this set of stamps) and Dusty Concorde Distress Ink.  I cut the black and white rose paper into stripes (that you can’t see) and sponged the edges with Dusty Concorde again. I used my Nesties to cut a circle around Fairy Princess and then cut out a black circle to layer it and again sponged it with Dusty Concorde. To add some sparkle I colored her crown with a Stardust pen along with the swirls (cut from a Sizzlits Decorative Flourishes Set) under the flowers. Her dress is colored with a Clear Spica pen but the sparkle was difficult to capture on camera. I added some Prima flowers that I also sponged with Dusty Concord and added some silver Dew Drops to the corners of the card and centers of the flowers. To finish it off an add the stitching I used a 03 Micron pen in black to add some faux stitching. Phew. There was a bit involved in this one but I really love how it looks.
