Wild Flower Wednesday 9 – Getting Sketchy

It’s Wild Flower Wednesday time and this week we are getting a bit sketchy. 😀 (It’s also Flutterby Wednesday time too!!! This week they are getting sparkly!)

I made this week’s sketch and I have to say that I got a wee bit carried away with all the digi scrap elements as I was making it, lol. I didn’t realize until I started making my card that wowsa… I had included a lot of layers, lol. So here’s the sketch:

And here’s my card:

card 1

I used Heart Fairy Daisy for my card. I’ve had her partially colored for ages and it was time to get moving on using her on a card. I cut her out (and let me tell you that was fun with a dull Xacto knife that I stole borrow from Chris.) Then i layered like crazy with my Bazzill and BoBunny papers. I distressed the inner blue layer with a Tim Holtz distress tool, TH Distress Ink Brushed Corduroy and a little tearing by hand. I used my Slice to cut the butterflies and the scalloped frame. Daisy is colored with Copics.

Here’s a side shot of the card, just cause I like the photo. 😀

Pay no attention to my wonky gluing of Daisy.

If you’d like to participate this week head over the Wild Flower Patch and get the details and be sure to check out the other design team members samples… they are AWESOME!!
