I have two cards to share with you using this kit. This first card is inspired by a crochet scrap blanket I found on Instagram. The designer had amassed a large number of small end pieces of yarn in a beautiful array of colors. She crocheted them into simple granny squares and arranged them in a loose, freeform rainbow. I took this idea and used the small splotch in the Splash of Color stamp set and used nearly all of the TE in colors to replicate the look. For interest (and to avoid the look of wonky rows) I rotated the splotch frequently when stamping.
The sentiment, You Are One of a Kind, is from the With All My Art stamp set and is stamped on Black Licorice cardstock with Versamark and heat embossed in white. I layered this over a vellum circle separated by foam squares. I stenciled the diagonal stripes from Stencil Strips – Holiday in Poppy Seed and cut them with the 1/8′ Easy Strips – this gives me a bunch of accent strips to use whenever I need them. (I have a set I cut using the 1/4″ Easy Strips as well.) For a finishing touch I added a few Clear Drip Drops.

My second card is a clean and simple design made using the Bold Brushes Layering Stencil. Instead of aligning the stencil as suggested, I created a stair-step look with the stencil. I would love to say I did something smart like used the grid mat/paper to help with alignment but I just now thought of that, lol. After inking I splattered the panel with Oreo liquid watercolor and die cut with the A2 Layering Stacklets (3rd one in is my go-to). I added a border cut from A2 Thin Frame Cutting Plate and more Black Licorice cardstock. The brush is from the Paint the Town die collection in Tropical Punch. I love the contrast of Black Licorice with all the colors!
