(This message was added in version 6.7.0.) in /home4/shinebea/public_html/deconstructingjen/wp-includes/functions.php on line 6121Hi everyone! I am popping in with a quick clean and simple birthday card using Millie’s Birthday Bash from Taylored Expressions. I am always short on birthday cards or the cards I have don’t fit the recipient so I put together this quick card for a friend. I have begun stamping and coloring all of the images from a stamp set and putting them in a folder so that when I need a quick card I have images already colored up. I got the idea for this from the 30 Day Coloring Challenge because those images are so handy to have ready to pull out when I need something fast!

I created a simple ink blended background using Sugar Cube cardstock and Confetti Cake ink blending with TE’s Blender Brushes. After blending I layered the Confetti Toss stencil over the top and added more Confetti Cake ink along with a tiny bit of Cookie Monster ink at the top. I die cut the background with Petite Scallop Rectangle Stacklets and then stamped the happy birthday sentiment on in Oreo ink. I just used a clear block but you could also use a MISTI to help with alignment. To create the embossed outline on the cardbase I used a scoring board 3/8″ away from the edge on all 4 sides. I adhered everything together with foam tape and that was it!

Thanks so much for stopping in today! I hope you have a wonderful day!
