Deconstructed Sketch No. 17

Happy Thursday everyone! I hope you are having a WONDERFUL week and are ready for another SPONSORED Deconstructed Sketch!!

To those of you who joined us last week or are just picking up the sketch for the first time this week or have played any week in between I want to say thank you… it’s so wonderful to see all the inspiring creations that everyone makes. I try to make it around to all the projects each week to leave a little note and sometimes I make it, sometimes I don’t but I do look at everything and I’m always to humbled by all of your creations… you guys are just amazing!

Again, I also wanted to let you know I made a Facebook Page for The Deconstructed Sketch if any of you like to follow things on Facebook. I’ll be posting sketches there and samples. :)

This Week’s Sketch

I hope you enjoy it!

Deconstructed Sketch 17

This Week’s Sponsor

Today we are sponsored by Simply Betty Stamps here at the Deconstructed Sketch. Simply Betty Stamps is stamp company dedicated to producing stamps that are FUN, FUNKY and just a little bit DIFFERENT than your everyday stamps. Betty offers stamps in deeply etched red rubber, clear and digital formats. You are sure to find something to love!

Our prize for one lucky sketch participant this week is THREE stamps from Betty’s new Sweet Gothic Kids Halloween line of clear stamps and this week I am picking the stamps and I’ve chosen Pumpkin Carvin’ Alex, Witch Wednesday and Tily Vampire!

I hope you like them!

 My Sample

For my card I used Pumpkin Carvin’ Alex and stamped him on to white linen coverstock and colored him with Copic markers. I just love the way the markers work and look on this paper. Lots of people have been asking me about this paper so I found a link for it on Walmart’s website. I got it in the store near us so it’s nice to be able to pick it up whenever I need it.

I used last years My Mind’s Eye Halloween paper for this card (I don’t remember the name right now but I do LOVE it!). After cutting out Alex I punched the corners and sponged the edges in Black Soot Distress Ink. I added ink to the designer paper in the background too. I added a bit of doodling… I’m really fond of that look lately. 😉 I made a little banner for the sentiment and tucked a die punched spider web underneath as well as a bit of black baker’s twine.
