CHAPTER 9: Somewhere in the Sunny, Sketchy, Afternoon…

Alice in Wonderland, how do you get to Wonderland?
Over the hill or underland, or just behind the tree?
When clouds go rolling by, they roll away and leave the sky.
Where is the land beyond the eye, that people can not see, where can it be?
Where do stars go, where is the crescent moon?
They must be somewhere in the sunny afternoon.
Alice in Wonderland, where is the path to Wonderland?
Over the hill or here or there, I wonder where.

Hello!  Hopefully it’s a Sunny, Golden afternoon in your neck of this Wonderland!   We have a Sketch Challenge for you today brought to you by our very own TASHA!  Here’s the sketch:

We hope you’ll join us this week down the Rabbit Hole for this fun sketch.   What’s more?  There is a VERY generous prize offering this week from The BEARY SCRAP!   The Beary Scrap is a sweet one-stop shop for all of your papercrafting needs and are offering an AMAZING $20 Gift Voucher for one lucky winner this week!

Now here’s my take on this sketch. I went a different route than I have been going lately… I tried to go for clean and simple but I seem to have an aversion to that, lol. I used some of my Unity Kit of the Month stamps that have been being VERY neglected at my house recently and I feel sooo bad about that. I used a few scrap pieces of my Cosmo Cricket Early Bird paper pack… I’m going to shed a few tears when that pack is gone I think.

miss hanging out with you

Okay so here’s where I went wrong with the CAS. I started sponging stuff and when I start doing that I can’t stop. It all started with the oval because it was just toooo white so I did the Peeled Paint DI but then it was still too white so I added Antique Linen DI to the middle and edge, well that meant the white sentiment card needed it too and the craft stock couldn’t be left bare, nor could the green DP…. see my problem. All things must coordinate and match at all levels… hence the CAS card that took me 2 hours to make, lol.

I colored this lovely stamp with Copics and stamped it with Rich Cocoa Memento ink.

Here’s a look at it from the side to see the dimmensionals I added.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! We are off to see a professional kite flying event Saturday and I’ve got some cards to make this weekend! Hopefully I can get ahead and have lots to show you next week!

Be sure to check out the rest of the girls! They are listed over on my side bar (I can’t get the list to show up right today for some reason.)
