Deconstructed Sketch No. 175

Deconstructed Sketch 175

Are you ready for Deconstructed Sketch 175? I hope you like it! Here’s the scoop on what you need to do:

1. Use the sketch up top to make a project, any kind you like using any image you like. Use the sketch to inspire your own creativity. Feel free to substitute shapes for what you have available and mount tags and circles to a card base if you’d prefer.

2. Post it somewhere on the internet (your personal blog, SplitcoaststampersFlickrPinterest, etc). Use keyword DS175.

3. Link back here to Inlinkz at the bottom of the post.

My card today is for a friend who recently lost her father. These types of cards are so difficult to make. I struggled a bit with the color scheme and I’m hopeful it walks that careful line between not to somber but also not to cheery.

Here’s a look at the products I used on my card:

Stamps: Forever in Our Hearts (Verve)
P
aper: Toffee, Sugar Cube, Poppy Seed, Salt Water Taffy Premium Cardstock (Taylored Expressions)
Ink: Memento Espresso Truffle
Accessories: Patio Party Dies (TE), Mini Leaves die (TE), Banner Branches and Bloom dies (TE), Friendship Blooms Dies (TE), embossing folder (Cuttlebug), foam tape (TE), seam binding, twine thread (May Arts), Quick Dry Adhesive (3M)
