Deconstructed Sketch 180

Are you ready for Deconstructed Sketch 180? I hope you like it! Here’s the scoop on what you need to do:

1. Use the sketch up top to make a project, any kind you like using any image you like. Use the sketch to inspire your own creativity. Feel free to substitute shapes for what you have available and mount tags and circles to a card base if you’d prefer.

2. Post it somewhere on the internet (your personal blog, SplitcoaststampersFlickrPinterest, etc). Use keyword DS180.

3. Link back here to Inlinkz at the bottom of the post.

My card today started with this week’s sketch and the Color Throwdown color palette for this week. I really like this fun spin on normal Christmas colors.

To create the background with all the 25’s I used Verve’s Calendar Countdown stamp set and four different ink colors that coordinate to the color challenge. The sentiment is from Merry and Bright. I used Spellbinders dies for the ovals. The little banners are cut using the Flag It Dies. To add a little sparkle I added a few little tiny twinkles to the sentiment and drew in stitches with a white gel pen.
