Share Joy Challenge 14
Hi everyone! It’s time for a new Share Joy Challenge by Taylored Expressions and today we have a sketch and inspiration photo for you! I used just the inspiration photo today. 🙂 I was out and about shopping for Christmas presents this week and came across some AMAZING foil cardstock at Michael’s. I had to try it and OH MY GOODNESS is this stuff amazing. I’ve been wanting to get a foil look on some of my cards but it’s a little involved to stamp, scan, laser print to be able to foil with heat set foil so this foiled cardstock made my day!!! The top picture doesn’t show off the foil as much but this one below really does!
To make this card I cut a piece of Sugar Cube cardstock and stamped the pine branches from Simply Stamped Pinecones around the top and left edge of the paper and then diagonally across until it had a naturally full pine tree feel to it. I used Memento Bamboo Leaves, Pistacho and Olive Grove. For the branches I used Rich Cocoa. Next I lightly sponged Tumbled Glass Distress Ink around the right and bottom edge to soften that space. I stamped the sentiment across the bottom using Tuxedo Black Distress Ink. The ornaments are from Ornament Overlays and Ornament Accessories and lined with Sugar Cube cardstock cut with Stitched Circle Stacklets. I popped two of the ornaments up on foam tape and left one flush with the background.
Man I really love this foil paper. I’m going to have to find more uses for it!
