SJC4 – Clean and Simple Hello

Hi everyone! It’s time for another Share Joy Challenge. Yay!!! I am so loving this challenge. I love reading what everyone is doing with their cards once they make them and I really LOVE that it’s getting me to send and give my cards to others! I actually had to go buy stamps this week!! WOOHOO!!!

I tried to keep my card for today pretty clean and simple. I struggle a bit with that now and then and today was one of those times but I do like how my card came out in the end. The wood veneer stars made the whole thing for me. 🙂

My sentiments are from Simply Stamped Daisies. I LOVE these Simply Stamped sets… gorgeous flowers and AMAZING sentiments! The tiny tag is cut using the Mini Tags die set – another absolute favorite. 🙂

To put together this card I started with a Toffee card base layered with patterned from Echo Parks Sunny Days Ahead with a mat of Sugar Cube. I cut two circles, one of Toffee and one of Cookie Monster. I cut the Cookie Monster circle in half, attached it to the Toffee circle and stamped the hello sentiment from Simply Stamped Daisies on the top half with Versamark. I heat embossed the sentiment in white. The smaller Just Because sentiment was stamped using Tuxedo Black on Toffee cardstock and cut using a Mini Tag. I added a layer of white ribbon and bow tied with a Bow Easy. Lastly I added three small wood veneer stars.

Here’s a peek at our challenge this week – sketch and/or clean and simple. I tried to combine both and hope it worked.

My card today is for a close friend. I hope to have it in the mail before the end of the week. 🙂
