Share Joy Challenge 43: Hello!

Hello by Jen Shults, SJC43

Hi everyone! I hope you are having a great day so far. It’s been a rainy one here in the midwest today. I’m thankful for the rain, it’s been dry and our flowers and grass could use a good soak!

Today we have a new Share Joy Challenge by Taylored Expressions and it’s a fun one! We have a sketch and tic-tac-toe for you. Here’s a look…

For my project today I went with the tic-tac-toe though I may just have to come back and use that sketch! I love it!! I used the vertical row on the right – gradient, stars, glitter.

To create the gradient I sponged Twisted Citron, Mermaid Lagoon and Pickled Raspberry onto Sugar Cube cardstock and then flicked and misted a little water on it to add some speckles. After this dried I used Star Stacklets to die cut the stars. I used the negative from the die cutting to help me arrange my stars and a bit of Press & Seal to keep everything in place while I was gluing things down. After the stars were arranged on Sugar Cube cardstock I die cut them with Stitched Rectangle Stacklets. For the sentiment I stamped hello from Bold Bruststrokes on Oreo cardstock using Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I die cut one more star from some silver glitter paper American Crafts and attached it with a little foam tape. To finish I added a few clear sequins that I attached with Glossy Accents.

I designed this card for a friend just to say hi. I’m going to be dropping it in the mail to her later today. 🙂 (I’m not adding more than that as she might just see this and ruin the surprise!!)

That’s it for me today! I hope you’ll join us this week!

Love this card! Can you please explain sponge twisting? Also what you used the cling wrap for?
