SJC5: Happy Owl-o-Ween!

Happy Owl-o-ween by Jen Shults

Morning part 2!! 🙂 I hope you are having a great day! I’m back to share my Share Joy Challenge 5 project with you. This week we have a sketch + color challenge for you. As always you can use one of the challenges or both together – it’s up to you!

For my card I used both the sketch and the color challenge. I went back to one of my favorite Halloween sets, Owl-o-ween Stamp & Die Combo. I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers for this one. I’m really hooked on these, I love how fast they are to use. I used some Distress Ink in the background to make a night sky. To make the starry look I flicked a little water on the dry background and blotted it off with a paper towel then added a few dot with a white gel pen and Wink of Stella pen. The background is embossed with the Harlequin embossing folder. The patterned paper I used is from Build a Scene Halloween Paper Pack and Rainbow Brights Paper Pack along with Poppy Seed, Lemon Meringue, and Sugar Cube Cardstock. The watercolor paper is Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock.

I’m going to be sending this card to one of my children’s teachers when we make Halloween treat packages for them. My daughter has 4 teachers this year in 6th grade so I have a few to make!!
