Today we have what has quickly become my favorite type of challenge – a tic tac toe challenge along with a sketch! I used just the tic tac toe challenge today to make a fun, quick Halloween card. I’m thinking I’ll be making another one of these soon for a friend – our school musical this year is the Wizard of Oz and my friend is the music director. I’m imagining a fade from yellow to green in the background with some black and white socks and red sparkly shoes and an over the rainbow sentiment if I can find one! LOL!!
I started my card by blending Pumpkin, Candy Corn and Lemon Meringue ink on Sugar Cube cardstock using a foam ink blender. I let this dry a few minutes and then die cut it with Diagonal Stripes Cutting Plate. I popped the cut outs up on foam tape on a Sugar Cube card base. The witch feet die cuts are from The Witch Is In die set. I die cut the legs from Oreo cardstock and the sock backing from Plum Punch cardstock. I used a bit of vellum for a background behind the legs die cut with Stitched Rectangle Stacklets. The sentiment is from Little Bits of Halloween and stamped on Oreo cardstock and heat embossed with white embossing powder. I added a few Build a Scene Halloween Sequins and three Tiny Twinkles to each shoe for buttons.
Here’s a look at the challenge for this week:
