Taylored Expressions February Sneak Peeks
Hi everyone! Today is the first day of Taylored Expressions February Sneak Peeks. Today I’m focusing on all things Easter!
TE has another addition to the cutting plate/stencil/stamp coordinating pieces called Eggceptional. For my project I used all three together. I love the flexibility of these products – you really have limitless options on how to use them!
How to create this card:
Step 1: Create an A2 vertical cardbase from Toffee cardstock, I then dusted the cardstock with a powder tool for embossing. Align the Eggceptional background stamp in a MISTI or on a large stamping block. Stamp onto the Toffee cardbase with Versamark or Sugar Cube Ink. Emboss with TE white embossing powder.
Step 2: Stamp the Eggceptional background on a second A2 piece of Toffee cardstock, this time with Sugar Cube. I stamped the image multiple times to get a brighter white. Heat set the ink.
Step 3: Use the Eggceptional stencil to ink the eggs on the piece of Toffee cardstock stamped with Sugar Cube (not embossed). Ink diagonally following the line of the eggs, starting with Strawberry Milkshake, then Lavender Glaze, the Cookie Monster. Die cut the eggs with the Eggceptional Cutting Plate. Keep the negative to use as an alignment tool.
Step 4: Using the die cut negative as an alignment tool, place the stenciled eggs in their respective places over the top of the matching embossed eggs using foam dots or tape to pop them up. Carefully remove the die negative.
Step 5: Stamp Mini Strips – Easter on Sugar Cube with Toffee ink and die cut with the Mini Strips Asymmetrical die. Pop the sentiment onto the card with foam strips.
Step 6: Optional inside: Stamp the bunny from Big Grumpy Easter on Sugar Cube with Oreo ink, color with desired media (I used Copics), die cut with coordinating die. Use one of the additional Mini Strips Easter sentiments along with the bunny for a finished inside.

My next project is a bunch of Easter Tags using Tag Team – Easter. Easter is a big deal in my family. We don’t get together as huge family at Christmas, instead we get together during Easter. Family comes in from all over the country to Missouri/Kansas and we spend three days celebrating Easter. On Easter Sunday we have a large egg hunt for the littles and when they find all of their eggs they get their basket (which over the years have turned into decorated bags because we have upwards of 15 littles). These tags are going to be the name tags for this year’s baskets. The fronts are decorated with cute sayings and the backs will be stamped with their name.
