Taylored Expressions March Sneak Peek: From My Window
Wowee! I can’t believe it’s time for March previews already! Time is flying by. Last month at this time I was laid up with 8 stitches in my knee and a knee immobilizer. I’m happy to say that all my stitches are out and my knees are about 90% back to normal, I just have to wait out two pesky bruised knee caps. I’m REALLY happy to be back to driving and getting around like normal. 🙂
So lets get on with the show, it’s time for the Taylored Expressions March Previews and I have a new project and an old project to share with you today!
First up is the NEW project! I used the gorgeous new From My Window stamp set and coordinating Arched Window Die. I also used the new Banner Stacklets 2.
Isn’t this fun! This stamp set is full of gorgeous landscape scenes from your window and the matching die is SO versatile.
So here are my card details… I used Pebbles Family Ties 6×6 paper pad and a kraft cardbase that I embossed (or debossed rather) with the Lots of Dots Impression Plate. The whole card was inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and then roughed up with a Prima Distress tool. I layered the parts together with foam tape and my FAVORITE glue… the Best Glue Ever.I don’t think I’ve ever really mentioned this but I have never been able to get a card to stay together with any type of glue runner. They always tease me and act like they are glued down well and then bam, 3 weeks later when I go to send them they fall apart. And the 3M ATG is a little to permanent to fast for me because I am not a good shot when I glue things down. This Best Glue Ever is the perfect fix because I get about 20 seconds to reposition things if I need to and then once glued down, it’s down for good. No more cards falling apart. Not to mention it glues down just about anything you can think of… all those little twine bows – glued down with this stuff, same thing with the twirly ends that magically stay in place. 😉 End of rant. 😉
Next up is a card I made a while back using Vintage Dreamer. Vintage Dreamer was previously an exclusive stamp set for subscribers to the Key Ingredients Kit but now it’s being released for everyone to have a chance at! I just LOVE this stamp set. It’s so funky and well… vintage, it’s wonderful! You can read all about this card in the original post here. 🙂
That’s it for me today! I hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!!
Be sure to hop around and see what the other Baker’s Dozen designers have been up to with this new release!
