Taylored Expressions March Sneak Peeks: Frame in Frame Cutting Plate and Arbor Gate

Hello Friend by Jen Shults, handmade card

Hi everyone! Welcome to day two for Taylored Expressions March Sneak Peeks! I have two more projects for you today!!

My first project features a whole load of new dies and a new sweet little stamp set. First up are the Garden Arbor and Gate dies. They are the focal point of the card and are so gorgeous to work with. Over the top of the arbor I used the Arbor Accessories dies. These dies are so delicate and fabulous. To add a little accent to these I added a bit of Copic marker to the vines and flowers. I also use the new Wispy Grass Border die. I have to admit when I saw this one I may have squealed a little – I LOVE this die. I cut it twice, once out of Peapod and once out of Sweet Basil to give the grass a bit of depth. Once the scene was build I die cut it using Label Stacklets 6. The sentiment is from the new Fancy Banner 1 which comes with a coordinating die. I stamped this on Sugar Cube and colored it with Copic markers to match the scene. The background paper was embossed with Woodgrain Embossing Folder. To finish off I wrapped the back panel with twine.

My second card uses four new dies, Little Bits Party Dress, Frame in Frame Cutting Plate, Bold Lace Cutting Plate, and Little Bit Hanger die.

The Dress by Jen Shults, handmade card

To start my card off I cut a cardbase from Sugar Cube and then also cut the Bold Lace Cutting Plate out of Sugar Cube. Next I die cut the Frame in Frame Cutting Plate out of the new Premium Metallic Neutrals Cardstock. I used the lightest white in the set. To make the dress I first die cut it our of the same metallic cardstock. I cut it a second time out of Sugar Cube and then cut the dress out out of the Bold Lace Cutting Plate and trimmed out just the skirt to attach to the dress. I attached the sash and shoulder strap along with a few Tiny Twinkles for accent. I glued this over the hanger and then adhered all of the pieces to the background using foam tape.

This card was the PERFECT card for my cousin’s bridal shower last week! She LOVED it!!
