Taylored Expressions October Release Day

Christmas Wishes by Jen Shults

He everyone! It’s Taylored Expressions October release day. All of the fabulous products you’ve seen this week are now available in the Taylored Expressions store. Today I have two projects to share with you today. First up is a quick Christmas card using Spirit of Christmas. This card was very quick to put together and I’ve actually made a set of them to have on hand for Christmas cards for work.

I started my card by stamping the large tree from Spirit of Christmas on Sweet Basil cardstock using Versamark and then I head embossed with white embossing powder. I die cut this with Christmas Tree Stacklets and then added a star cut from Gold Cardstock and a stem cut from Chocolate Truffle cardstock. The sentiment was stamped on Toffee cardstock with Versamark and also head embossed in white then die cut with Stitched Banner Stacklets. For the background I cut a piece of Red Pepper cardstock and embossed it with the Nordic Holiday embossing folder and then distressed the edges. I used a piece of Sweet Basil dot paper from 6×6 Paper Pack Playful Patterns – Haunted for the accent piece. I attached everything with foam tape and added a twine bow on the banner to finish it up.

I made a coordinating envelope for my card using a White Envelope and Merry Mail 2. I colored the images with Prismacolors to avoid bleed through on the envelope.

My second card uses a new addition to the Simply Stamped line, Simply Stamped Christmas Tree. This stamp set has a coordinating die set with lots of little extras for decorating the tree.

I started this card with a Toffee cardbase and the Lattice Frame Cutting Plate cut from Red Pepper cardstock. I cut the middle oval from Salt Water Taffy cardstock and layered it with a stamp of the Simple Stamped Christmas Tree stamped with Peapod, Sweet Basil and Versamark (heat embossed in white).

I die cut a gold star and gold garland using the accessories in Simply Stamped Christmas Tree dies. I stamped the sentiment on Toffee cardstock with Versamark and heat embossed in white. I added a Little Bits Holly die cut and bow to the side and layered everything with foam tape.

I created a matching envelope for this card as well using Merry Mail 2. I stamped the envelope using Oreo ink and colored with Prismacolors.
