Hi everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday so far! Today I have three projects to share with you using a bunch of new Taylored Expressions goodies that are so fun for winter and Christmas.
First up is a new Grumplings set called Holiday Grumplings. This set one my heart from the first second I saw it. Some of the Grumplings are SO CUTE and the sentiments are so perfect. I chose to use this adorable little kitten all bundled up for winter with this hilarious sentiment. This immediately reminded me of a couple of teacher I work with at school that absolutely HATE winter. Usually right around the end of January they are DONE with winter and ready for spring to start. (I usually am too!)
To make this card I started by stamping the little Grumpling on Canson 90lb watercolor paper with Stazon Jet Black ink. I watercolored him with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and a waterbrush. (If you are interested in seeing how I do this I’m going to be putting together a Periscope video very soon.) To create the snow falling in the background I embossed Blue Corn cardstock with the Snowfall embossing folder and colored the snow with a white gel pen. I then die cut the circle using the new Stitched Circle Stacklets. The snow on the ground was die cut from Sugar Cube cardstock using Build a Scene Rolling Hills dies. The sentiment was stamped on Toffee cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black and die cut with the Label Stacklets 7 dies. I embossed a piece of Blue Corn cardstock using the Nordic Holiday embossing folder. I finished off by rounding a few corners and attaching everything together.
My second card uses Campy Christmas, a previously release TE set that has a new die cut set to coordinate with it. I stamped the image on Canson watercolor paper with Stazon Ink and watercolored it with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and a waterbrush. I die cut the elements and set them aside while I built the background. I used the diagonal striped paper from Build a Scene Christmas 6×6 paper pack and Build a Tag 4 dies to make my layout. The sentiment is stamped on the front from In & Out Christmas.
I lined the inside of the card with Sugar Cube cardstock and added a little strip of Peapod grass at the bottom using the Grass Border die. I stamped an interior sentiment from In & Out Christmas and added another little critter from Campy Christmas watercolored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers.
My third project today is a card I made using a brand new product from TE – watercolor panels! These are so so so fun. This set features 12 holiday images pre-printed on 3″x4″ heavy duty watercolor paper. I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers on this with a waterbrush. The background was embossed with the Holly Embossing Folder and I added a snow flake from Make a Snowflake and a little banner from Pockets and Pages Stitched Essentials.
This was such a fun and easy card to make!
