Taylored Expressions | Patriotic Gnomes and more

Happy Tuesday everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful day today! It’s the last Tuesday of the school year for me, our last day is Thursday. WOOHOO! I’m a little stressed as usual but looking forward to a much needed summer break. If you have kiddos when are they out for the summer?

Today Taylored Expressions is releasing a bunch of new patriotic goodies and some that coordiate with some old favorites! My first project features a new dress up dies set for everyone’s favorite gnomes! The Gnome of the Brave – Dress Up die set is so cute and makes for some easy holiday decor or some fun holiday card making! Gnome of the Brave coordinated with Gnome Sweet Gnome.

I pulled out all the glitter cardstock for this one along with my favorite TE patriotic colors – Watermelon and Blueberry. I love these Gnomes and it’s so fun to mix and match all of the elements to come up with different ways to use them all. To give this a little extra oompf I ink blended around the different hands and noses using Peaches & Cream, Chocolate Truffle and Toffee for different appearances. I added a bit of white gel pen accents for a finishing touch.

My second card features an old favorite and a new coordinating product that is just perfect for making quick 4th of July cards. Foil It – America the Beautiful was designed to fit perfectly in the white spaces of the American Flag Cutting Plate die. I foiled the Foil It in silver foil then mounted it behind the Cutting Plate that I cut from Watermelon and Blueberry cardstock then combined together. Tip – cut a piece of Blueberry that just overs the star portion of the flag so you don’t use up extra cardstock. The Happy 4th of July sentiment is from Foil It – Land That I Love and is also foiled in silver foil then die cut with the coordinating dies.
