TE December Sneak Peeks Day 3: Everything I Do

Everything I Do handmade valentine by Jen Shults

Hi everyone! It’s day 3 of Taylored Expressions December Sneak Peeks and today I have more Valentine goodies for you! My first card has a fun music theme using the new All You Need Is Love stamp set, Musical Background and Love Notes dies.

I started my card by cutting and folding an A2 vertical Watermelon cardbase. I then cut an A2 sized piece of Sugar Cube cardstock and embossed it with the Conversation Hearts embossing folder. I stamped the Musical Background on Sugar Cube using Earl Grey ink and Die cut it with the tag base in Build a Tag 3. I cut a second tag base from Watermelon and layered them together. I stamped the sentiment from All You Need Is Love on vellum using Versamark and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. I tied the two tag bases together with twine and attached them to the card. I attached the sentiment with foam tape cut into tiny pieces under the letters of the sentiment. To finish I added a banner from Bitty Banners cut from Earl Grey and some heart music notes cut from Love Notes out of Watermelon and Earl Grey. For a bit of sparkle I added a few Snow Flurries Sequins.

Card Supplies:

My second card for today uses a new Cutting Plate – the Falling Hearts Cutting Plate. This is such a cute cutting plate and VERY versatile. It can be used for Valentine’s or for other occasions. I used it as a background for a house warming card.

My card started with a Toffee cardbase. Next I cut a 4.25″ x 5.5″ piece of Salt Water Taffy cardstock and sponged the edges with Sprinkles ink for a subtle bit of shading. I die cut this with the Falling Hearts Cutting Plate and glued it to a piece of pink patterned paper from Build a Scene 6×6 Paper Pack. I die cut the house pieces using Build a House. I love the little Lollipop front door! We have a neighbor that has a bright pink front door!! I added two cuts of Wispy Grass Border, one from Peapod and one from Granny Smith for the grass. I used the Cloud Duo die. The sentiment was stamped from Let’s Talk Sentiments on Toffee and die cut with Designer Mini Tags and attached with twine thread.
