TE June Sneak Peeks: Fresh Florals

Hi everyone! I hope you’ve had a wonderful weekend! Today starts the beginning of Taylored Expressions June Sneak Peeks! Today I’m using a gorgeous new floral stamp set – Fresh Florals. I LOVE this stamp set! There are so many possibilities! All of the sneak peek items from this week will be available on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 9 am CST!

I made two cards using this set both with a similar look. I started the cards by watercoloring a piece of Taylored Expressions watercolor cardstock with Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon Distress Ink. I then splattered a bit of both colors in the background. After that I actually went through and stamped all of the flowers from Fresh Florals using Lollipop, Strawberry Milkshake, Jelly Donut, Candy Corn, Lemon Meringue, Cherry Pop and Cookie Monster TE Dye Ink. I also stamped the greenery in Peapod and Granny Smith. I die cut all the pieces and set them aside so I could decide what type of bouquets to make. Here they are all stamped out and die cut. This allowed for LOTS of left overs so I am set to make quite a few more cards!

This also left me a lot of freedom to design a bouquet as I had a lot of colors and greenery to choose from.

After I had everything arranged I snapped a photo so I could remember the arrangement. Stamped the sentiment using my MISTI and TE Oreo Hybrid Ink. I then added the flowers back using a bit of foam tape behind a few for depth and I added a few Doodlebug Glitter Sprinkles in Lily White. I chose a cardbase of Jelly Donut to compliment the flowers.

For the second card I used the same layout but a sentiment from Bold Brush Strokes was embossed with white embossing powder.

I love the bold look of these flowers – they make for quick and easy card making!
