TE Masking Stencils: Happy Birthday

Hi everyone! It’s day three of the Taylored Expressions Masking Stencil week! I have one more project to share with you using the stencils (for now, because seriously I can’t stop!).

So I kept it really simple with this one. To start I made a Toffee A2 cardbase and adhered the cardbase to the small square masking stencil. I used an ink blending brush to apply Cookie Monster ink around the edges of the square fading to a lighter application of ink in the center. I let this dry a few minutes while I die cut 3 of the number 4 dies from Just a Number. After the ink set I adhered the Scatter Stars stencil over the masking stencil and use Cookie Monster again to ink blend the stars. I used a heavier application of ink with the stars. I removed all of the stencils and set the card aside to dry for a few minutes. Once dry I used an embossing buddy to further dry the bottom of the square and below the square. I stamped Happy Birthday from Friendly Phrases in Versamark and heat embossed with TE white embossing powder. I adhered the 4 with liquid adhesive and two wood veneer stars. To finish up I tied a bit of twine around the top of the card for a clean and simple, snail mailable birthday card.
