TE October Sneak Peeks: Tags and Frames

Christmas Tags by Jen Shults

Hi everyone! It’s day three of Taylored Expressions October Sneak Peeks and today I have two projects to share with you! All of the products you’ll see during sneak peeks this week will be available for purchase tomorrow at 7 am CST in the Taylored Expressions store.

My first project features some adorable little new die cut Christmas characters. These characters are designed to fit on the Matchbox die as well as one of the smaller Flap Stack Rectangles which is what I used on my tags. My tags started with a Tag Stacklets 1 base. I then used the matchbox sized Flap Stack Rectangle die to cut a peek-a-boo flap into the tag. Then depending on the character I cut out the pieces in colors generally associated with that animal or person. I layered these onto the flap to the tag. I used the Little Bits – Holly die to add a little extra touch to each of the tags. I also added a few white gel pen details to each tag using a Uni-ball Signo white gel pen.

(Please excuse the embossing powder bottle showing in the picture. I used that to prop up the tags and didn’t notice it showing until it was too late.) I cut a second tag from Sugar Cube using Tag Stacklets 1 to create the underside of the flaps. Under each I stamp To: From from the From the North Pole stamp set. On the back I stamped the Santa’s Helper stamp also from From the North Pole. To attach the tags to treat bags or packages I attached a twine tie at the top. I did not know the twine so I can tie it to a package or treat bag.

My second project today is a decor project using a brand new product from Taylored Expressions called {Frame-worthy} Christmas. These are pre-printed 8″x10″ ready to color and frame!

The {Frame-worthy} Christmas set comes with 4 designs cut to 8×10″ and printed on Taylor’s Sugar Cube cardstock which is great to use with Copic Markers and colored pencils. On my project I used Copic Markers to color the scene. I was SO happy to find a matching rustic frame to go with my scene and this is now ready to go on our fireplace mantle when Christmas decorating starts!
