TE October: Winter Wonderland
Today I have two new cards to share with you using new products from Taylored Expressions that will be available on Thursday at 9 am CST.
My first project is a Christmas card using all new products (except cardstock). This was a really quick card to put together and features a new sentiment set called Hand Lettered Holiday 2 that has some gorgeous hand-lettered sentiments. I picked one and heat embossed the sentiment on Toffee cardstock with black embossing powder. The sentiment was cut out with the coordinating die. Behind the sentiment is a new Stacklet that nests perfectly to make frames as well as shaped pieces, called Inside Bracket Stacklets. The greenery at the bottom of the label is from the new Winter Greens die set and is cut from the new Olive cardstock. In the background I used the new Poinsettia and Pine Stencil with Sugar Cube ink on Toffee cardstock. To finish off I added a little twine and Gold Glitter Nuvo Drops to the centers of the flowers.

My second card for today features some beautiful new border dies called Border Builders. They are designed to be layered together to create dimensional scenes. I used Border Builders – Evergreens and Border Builders Home Sweet Home. I die cut all of the borders out of Sugar Cube card stock and used Copic Markers to color the house and the trees. I added white embossing paste over the snow for texture. In the background I blended Gumball, Blueberry and Blue Corn ink into the sky and used NUVO Glimmer Paste with the Snow Flurries Stencil to add the falling snow. The sentiment is from Simple Strips – Christmas and die cut with the Simple Strips die. I separated the layers of the card with foam tape for extra dimension.
