TE October: With Love at Christmastime

Hi! Today I have two projects to share with you using new products from Taylored Expressions. You can find all of these and more in the Taylored Expressions store right NOW!

My first card is a set of Christmas cards using Layer It – Cardinal. I am SO excited about this die set. My mom loves cardinals (and Cardinal mascots have a long history in my family) so this is perfect for her and I’m hoping to be able to make her a set to give out for Christmas. This was fairly simple and straight forward to put together. The most notable alteration I made was to ink blend Red Pepper ink onto the feather details of the bird so the connected head details were still Watermelon cardstock. I also trimmed a small piece to add the yellow beak from Pineapple cardstock.

I decided to make two of these after getting everything all set up because if you can make one, might as well make two! For the second one I switched up the background cardstock and used Watermelon instead of Cilantro, but everything else is the same.

My second card today uses another gorgeous and fun new product, the Jolly Holly background stamp that includes clear stamps to fill the holly leaves and berries! For my card I stamped the background stamp on Toffee cardstock with Toffee ink and used Strawberry Milkshake and Key Lime ink so the background was subtle. I stamped a sentiment from Handlettered Holiday 2 on Toffee cardstock with Watermelon ink and die cut with Stitched Circle Stacklets. To finish up I added some twine and a little holly from Little Bits Holiday Bloomers.
