TE Release Day: The Air in My Floaty

The Air in My Floaty by Jen Shults, handmade card

It’s Taylored Expressions June 2019 release day and everything we have shared this week is available now! Today I have two projects to share with you today.

First up is a fun little card using Floaties and the coordinating dies along with the Splash Stencil to make a quick pick me up card. I started by stamping the cat with Oreo on Sugar Cube cardstock and coloring with Copic Markers. I then die cut with the coordinating die. After that I popped the cat up on a Sugar Cube circle with foam tape.

For the background I sponged a piece of masked Sugar Cube cardstock with Confetti Cake Ink and let it dry. After that I used the same mask with the Splash stencil and Cookie Monster and Blue Raspberry ink. I lightly mixed the blues for a variegated color blend. Once dry I added water high lights with a white gel pen. I trimmed the panel and used my Score-Pal to emboss lines on the top and bottom. I attached this to a Sugar Cube cardbase stamped with the sentiment, attached the cat and I was done!

For my second card I used the Create in Color Background stamp again but this time I stamped on Toffee cardstock and embossed with white embossing powder.

I used Prismacolors to color the colored pencils on the Toffee cardstock. I trimmed the panel into a square and tied a twine bow. I used a sentiment from Complementary and Designer Mini Tags cut from Sugar Cube.

I embossed lines on a Sugar cube card base, popped the toffee panel on foam tape and I was done! Super easy!
