TE Sneak Peeks: Follow Your Arrow

Follow Your Arrow by Jen Shults, handmade card featuring stamps and dies from Taylored Expressions

Hi everyone! Welcome to day one of Taylored Expressions April Sneak peeks! All of the products featured this week will be available for purchase Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 9 am CST.

We have a lot of fun projects to share with you today! First up is a card using the new stamps set, Simply Stamped Feathers. This stamp, designed by Heather Nichols, includes two different styles of layering feathers. I love this stamp set because each feather is so unique and can be used with all the steps or just two or even one!

For my card I started with a Toffee cardstock cardbase and then die cut a second Toffee layer using Stitched Rectangle Stacklets. I splattered this layer with a bit of Chocolate Truffle Liquid Watercolor and a bit of Shimmer Liquid Watercolor and Chocolate Truffle Liquid Watercolor mixed together. I stamped the feathers on Raspberry Sorbet, Peaches n’ Cream and Spearmint cardstock using Chocolate Truffle, Pineapple, Peaches n’ Cream, Sweet Basil and Raspberry Sorbet ink. For the sentiment I stamped a sentiment from the Free Spirit stamp set on Toffee cardstock with Chocolate Truffle ink and die cut it with Banner Stacklets 1. To finish up I added a twine bow and a few wood veneer accents.

My next card uses a new cutting plate that is an addition to all of the gorgeous new folk art stamps and dies at TE. I LOVE this cutting plate. It has a gorgeous design and makes quick bold cards very easy.

Thinking of You by Jen Shults, handmade card featuring stamps and dies from Taylored Expressions

To start this card I began with a piece of Sugar Cube cardstock that I sponged with Eggplant, Lollipop and Candy Corn ink using a Ranger Ink Blending Tool. For the die cut layer I die cut the Folksy Flowers Cutting Plate from Mushroom cardstock and popped it up on foam tape when attaching it to the sponged layer. The sentiment is from Drop a Note. I stamped the sentiment on Sugar Cube with Oreo cardstock and die cut it with Doubled Ended Flag Banner dies. I popped this up on foam tape and added a few clear Nuvo Crystal Drops.
