Welcome to Verve’s August Release Retrospective Blog Hop! The Verve Divas are hopping today and serving up some more inspiration using the August release stamps & dies! Besides a peek at some really cool cards, there are also a couple of prizes up for grabs!
Today I’m sharing a card I made for my niece’s birthday that just happened to be yesterday. I used what is turning out to be my favorite stamp set – Small Packages. I started with a white A2 cardbase. I created the gradient background by sponging Versamark through a stencil onto white cardstock then heat embossing it with white embossing powder. From there I sponged on Peacock Feathers, Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade and Barn Door Distress Ink. I added a strip of Vellum and a strip of white across the middle. Over that I layered a heart die cut with the Jotted Heart die and stamped with Happy Birthday. The little cupcake is from Small Packages also and is colored with Copics and embellished with Stardust Stickles. To finish it off I added a few enamel dots.
Card Details:
Stamps: Small Packages (Verve)
Paper: Sugar Cube (Taylored Expressions)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento), Peacock Feathers, Squeezed Lemonade, Spiced Marmalade, Barn Door Distress Ink (Ranger), Versamark
Accessories: Jotted Heart die (Verve), white embossing powder, foam tape, copic markers, Stardust Stickles, enamel dots
