You’re My Cup of Tea
Howdy everyone! I’m sharing a card today that I made using one of the watercolors I ended up with after completing my SCS tutorial last week. (You can catch that here if you missed it.) This was a really quick card to make. 🙂 I hope you’ll head over and watch the video and maybe give Watercolor Marker painting a chance, I find it to be a really fun process with gorgeous results!
I started with Kraft cardstock and decided I didn’t want any designer paper on this one so I embossed a bit of Kraft using the Houndtooth/Damask Impression Plate from Taylored Expressions. I added a bit of dark violet cardstock to draw out the violets in the painting. I added a bit of yellow seam binding and a yellow rose to further compliment the violets. The sentiment is from the Teacup Bouquet stamp from Taylored Expressions and is die cut using one of the Designer Mini Tags.
Card Details:
Stamps: Teacup Bouquet
Dies: Designer Mini Tags, Houndstooth/Damask Impression Plate
Paper: Choice Watercolor Paper, Kraft cardstock, purple cardstock
Ink: Colorbox Black, Memento Tuxedo Black
Accessories: Yellow seam binding, twine thread, Recollections rose, paper distressing tool, foam tape, Best Glue Ever, Distress Markers, Black Embossing Powder
